After many sizzling roles Shriya Saran now says she would like to establish herself as a talentedactress by playing characters that have enough scope to display her acting skills on screen.
“I am careful and choosy now. I am waiting for a meaty role which would give me opportunity to prove myself. Doing glamorous roles alone is of no use,” says the actress, who is currently shooting in Switzerland for a Telugu film.
On her forthcoming movies, she says, “I am currently acting opposite Ravi Teja in ‘Don Seenu’. I am there opposite Arya in kollywood ’s ‘Chikku Bhukku’. I have recently completed Deepa Mehta’s ‘What’s Cooking?’.”
Thanking the support from her family, Shriya says, “But for the encouragement from my family members, I would not have made a mark for myself in movies. I am thankful to God for gifting me such a nice family.”

Director Raja Vannemreddy while speaking, “The story of this thriller begins at 10 PM and ends at early morning 5 AM. It’s a simple story in which the incidents that occur one night during the car journey of a husband (Ravi Kiran) and a wife (Sindhu Menon) from Hyderabad to Vizag.” The director claims that while his earlier films were made with family subject, this film is especially designed targeting the youth audience.

Ravi Teja’s new film ‘Don Seenu’ is currently being shot in Europe. The film unit has been shooting in Switzerland and Spain since April 17. So far, two songs, an action sequence and lots of talkie part have been shot. The shooting will go on till May 23rd in Europe. After this, the film unit will go to Dubai to shoot few scenes on the villain and will stay there till May 29. With this long 42 days foreign schedule, almost 30% of the film will be completed.The film is being directed by Gopichand Mallineni and Venkat is producing it on R R Movie Makers banner. It is a fact that, from the past 18 months, Sunitha’s personnel life was in havoc, as she had problems in her marriage life. Although, the reason for her dispute with her husband is said to be minor misunderstandings, the two were not on talking terms all these days. The elders of both the families, tried to intervene and control the situation, but their efforts went in vain in December 2009. Popular South Indian actress Lakshmi Rai, who was to play superstar Mohanlal’s wife in his under-production Shikar, has reportedly opted out of the project due to date clashes and reigning queen Sneha will replace her. Shikar is directed by Padmakumar, produced by Tetco Rajagopal and scripted by renowned writer S. Suresh Babu.Notably, this is the first time Sneha will be paired with Mohanlal. She will play the role of Lakshmi Kutty, his wife. Ananya of Nadodigal fame will play his daughter. Sneha will join the unit of Shikar from June 3 in Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad.
